Thank you to everyone who came to Dragon III and made it what it was.
I definately did not want the weekend to end. It was great riding with, eating with, and hanging out ...

I am working on a Supermoto project and I am using a Buell ZTL brake setup that I am trying to adapt to a Ohlins front fork.
I am in the process of drawing a bracket for the caliper. I have the technical drawing for the Ohlins fork lowers (with all the appropriate dimensions) and I am looking for the same for the Buell caliper. I am mostly interested in the dimension for the location of the mounting bolts, the various offsets to the brake pads.
Just looking for some advice. With the parts I've removed I've got a good little pile of Blast parts going in the garage taking up space.
Question is, should I be keeping any of these for some reason? If I end up selling the bike I will keep the parts I've put on the bike as selling points and add on's.
I see people asking for some of the parts I've got and are no longer using. So there is some demand.
So went to the local stealership to inquire about a tranny rebuild because I am lazy and didn't feel like doing it myself.. Also needed some parts.
So first I go to the parts counter and ask them for an o2 sensor.. for a 99 X1. They cringed and said we do not carry Buell parts period! So I asked the no doubt all knowing parts guy what type of engine powered a 99 buell? He looked a bit dazzled and said "Dunno, a Buell motor I guess" . So when I asked for someone else he... OK guys so a while back i finally got back on a Buell. My wife picked me up a 99 X1 lightning while I was deployed overseas. It was super dirty and had been neglected by its previous owner. It did however seem mostly stock aside from the feel of a heavier clutch spring, and a beat up SS2R muffler. Currently has 15K on the bike.
So when I got home I went to work romoved the factory body work, and replaced everything with carbon fiber, added a race ECM (I have since found ECM... [Read More]

Hi guys i just bought a 2004 xb12s from Chris down in Pennsylvania. I absolutely love the bike, its awesome! The only think that i have noticed is that then grabbing a handful of throttle it seems to cough and sputter for a second until the rpm's get up. I was wondering if this is normal? it seems like something is wrong to me/ I would value your opinions! thanks!
Dris had the exact map I needed for my bike/exhaust/intake setup. And Dave put got it on with no trouble, and was really helpful and patient since we had some problems early on.
Completely different bike, smooth at all RPMs at all speeds, no more surging, no more decel pop, extremely smooth engine braking, and WOW it works good now.
Anyone who is on the fence about getting... [Read More]
Looking for a Stock X1 Exhaust thats in good shape. Its the last piece I need to restore my Race Stripe to stock. If you see a craigslist ad ... ebay ... whatever ... mind posting up a link.
Been looking for 8 months and deciding what exhaust I wanted. And after many threads, youtube videos, and google searches I finally found the exhaust for me. Its the Jardine GP-1 black alumium slip on for an XB12R. I still have 30 days till I get back to South Carolina to get my bike and my exhaust. But its nice to know that my slip on is sitting at the house waiting for me. I hope to get a K&N filter and go up to the local Harely dealership and get her tuned. Anybody have this... [Read More]
